Dissolution of the Netherlands Antilles

The Netherlands Antilles was dissolved today, resulting in the two new countries of Curaçao and Sint Maarten (which also become part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands) and Bonaire, St. Eustatius and Saba being integrated into the Netherlands as "special municipalities". Curaçao and Sint Maarten are set to adopt a new common currency in 2012, to be named the Caribbean guilder. Bonaire, St. Eustatius and Saba are set to adopt the US dollar as their legal tender on January 1, 2011.

Euro Becomes Official Currency of the European Union

The new currency code ZWL was assigned to the recently redenominated Zimbabwe dollar. 1 ZWL = 1,000,000,000,000 ZWR. Version 1.0 of the calculator software released (distributed as Euro Calculator). Other than an HP calculator emulator supporting skins which we know of, we believe this to be the first skinnable calculator. Our first contacts with Skinz.org (our reference site for 1998-1999) pre-dated the release of any other calculator on that site.
